Bio

She has collaborated with theater companies such as PunchdrunkRED DOG SQUADRONTheater Oobleck and Exquisite Corpse Co..

Her compositions have been featured at the New York Musical Theatre Festival as part of a concert of work by new composers. Her concert piece The Imaginary Menagerie has headlined at Joe’s Pub and recently completed a 2013 residency at The McKittrick Hotel. The next chapter of The Imaginary Menagerie, The Death of Katherine Hayes, was performed at in June 2013 at Ars Nova’s ANT Festival.

Kate has been awarded the National Society of Arts and Letters’s Lavinia Kohl Award for Excellence in Literature and the NJ Young Playwrights Award for her short play Treading Water. Her poetry has been published in Contrary Magazine, among others.

Her first EP, The Bluse House, is available now.

She currently works as an Associate Artist at Punchdrunk’s Sleep No More.

When Women Come Marching Home won a NY Emmy on March 30, 2014. Professor Marcia Rock directed, shot, edited and with Patricia Lee Stotter co-produced it. She was among a group of NYU-connected winners that night.
